Mr. Hindman was born Oct. 26, 1930, in Salina. He was a laboratory technician for the City of Salina Water Department, for 35 years, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of VFW Post 1432, American Legion Post 62, the ISIS Shrine, Masonic Lodge 60, The Scottish Rite and Belmont Boulvard Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carlene, of Salina; a son, Greg of Salina; a daughter, Linda Upshaw of Salina; a brother, Leo of Salina; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Belmont Boulvard Christian Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
