Olive was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of First United Methodist Church in Salina. While in Wichita she worked at Sears for several years and then was a Ward Clerk for Wesley Hospital, retiring in 1980.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Kelly and a daughter, Linda Sue Shurtleff. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy King and her husband, Dan of Salina; Patricia Williams and her husband, Don of Springfield, Co; a sister, Evelyn Schmoekel of Lubbock, TX; seven grandchildren, Jennifer King and her husband Michael Moyer of Ammon, ID; Lori Chart and her husband Mike of Salina; Mike Williams and his wife Charla of Amarillo, TX; Karen Williams Bowling and her husband Barry of Keller, TX; David Williams and his wife Linda of Doha Quatar; Erin Shurtleff Kaylor and her husband Brent of Wichita; and Megan Shurtleff of Wichita. Olive has ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She leaves several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private graveside service.
