WICHITA -- Msgr. Clement A. Kruse, 90, Wichita, died Monday, March 6, 2006. Monsignor Kruse was born Sept. 24, 1915, at Seldon. He was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on June 7, 1941. He was named Monsignor in 1982. He had served on the Diocesan Board of Consultants. He had served parishes in Grainfield, Sharon Springs, Hoxie/Seguin, Damar and many other parishes in the Salina Diocese. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Kathryn Kruse; his brothers, John Marlin and Lee; and his sisters-in-law, Irene and Eileen Kruse. Survivors include six brothers, Wilbur F. and wife Mary and E.J. and wife Clarice, all of Wichita, Ervin and wife Colene of Stockton, Calif., Alvin of Broken Arrow, Okla., Paul and wife Loretta of Peru, Neb., and Lawrence of Grinnell; three sisters, Mildred Robben of Bellvue, Wash., Elenor Meitle of Oakley and Alfreda Stephens of Grinnell; and 50 nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina, the Most Reverend Paul S. Coakley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the cathedral. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, and from 6:15 to 8 p.m. at the cathedral. |
