Mr. Miller was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Salina. He was a sanitation worker for his own company and the City of Salina, retiring in 1988.

He was preceded in death by a son, Don Joseph Miller.

Survivors include two sons, Carl C. Miller II of Hutchinson and David B. Miller of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Noeline C. Miller-Chestnut of Salina and Karen L. Sneary of Vesper; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the Saline County Humane Association.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
