Mrs. Osborn was born Sophia Kirkland on Dec. 18, 1913, in Fairbury, Neb., the daughter of Johnathan Archibald and Sallie (Swartz) Kirkland. She was a homemaker.

She was a founding member of All Saints Orthodox Christian Church on Jan. 9, 1994. She was a lifetime member of the Society of Mary, a dame in the Order of Saint Ignatius of Antioch and a founding member of St. Sophia of Antiochian Orthodox Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Burton W., in 1991; two sisters, Fern Hartman and Kyle Anderson; and a brother, John David Kirkland.

Survivors include two sons, John of Salina and Dr. Vernon of Loveland, Colo.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Orthodox Church, 2818 Scanlan, Salina 67401, the Right Rev. Daniel Griffith officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Orthodox reserve in Gypsum Hill Cemetery. A requiem divine liturgy will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
