Mrs. Porter was born Annie May Lear on Oct. 28, 1923, in Seal Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Richard and Ethel May Lear. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Porter married Raymond Porter on Nov. 7, 1945, in Newfoundland. He died in 1998.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Lancaster of California; two sons, Stephen and wife Sharon of Derby and Geoffrey and wife Diana of Salina; five grandchildren, Jennifer Bridgford, Nancy Rasic, Abigail Porter, Andrew Porter and Stephen Porter Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Brittany Bridgford and Jesse Rasic.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Cathedral Episcopal Church, the Very Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
