Mrs. Schwartzkopf was born Dorothy M. Schuetz on Feb. 11, 1926, in Kiowa. She was a homemaker and a postmaster in Bison, retiring after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon, in 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Scheuerman of Larned and Jim Scheuerman of Greensburg; a stepson, Roy H. Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Sherry Headlee of Salina; a brother, Kenneth Schuetz of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; three sisters, Billie Conover of Mount Dora, Fla., Ann Brazda of Holton and Ruth Hunter of Farmington, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bison Methodist Church, Bison. Burial will be in Lonestar Cemetery, Bison.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
