Mr. Stone was born John Adam Stone on April 15, 1909, in rural Chase County. He owned and operated Stone Brothers Front End Alignment.

He was a member of Salina Masonic Lodge No. 60 and York Rite, Isis Shrine Oriental Band, a life member of Salina Elks Lodge BPOE No. 718 and a charter member of the Moose.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Mae; his second wife, Florence; a son, Donald; five brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include a son, Jon and wife Yuvonne of Shawnee; a stepson, Cloyd Fox and wife Mae; a sister, Mary Jane Read; five grandchildren, Jon R. Stone, Sonya DeGrande, Kimberly Irene Stone, Elizabeth Ann Stone and Donald Christopher Stone; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina 67401.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m.
