Mr. Zeman was born November 18, 1921, in Russell County. He was a farmer in Saline and Ottawa Counties, until his retirement.

He was a member of the Salina Elks Lodge, Salina Moose Lodge, United Commercial Travelers, and Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 1996; a brother, Emil Leo, in 1935; and three sisters, Agnes Staudinger, Barbara Hlaus and Anna Staudinger.

Survivors include his special friend, Irene Bowen of Bennington; a daughter, Barbara Clem of Edwards, N.Y.; four sisters, Jody Hinnenkamp of Salina, Mary Geritzen of Little River, Sister Mary Leo Zeman of Concordia, and Alice Homeier of Wilson; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

A vigil service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
