Mrs. Anderson was born Wanda Faye Ulrich on June 17, 1934, in Lincoln, the daughter of Ray and Hilda (Fischer) Ulrich. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and P.E.O. Chapter E.D. She married Richard J. "Dick" Anderson on July 26, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died in 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Laura M. Pestinger and husband Tim of Salina; a son, Bruce E. and wife Nancy of Leawood; a brother, Dee Ulrich and wife Helen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Danna McCracken and husband Don of Ness City; and six grandchildren, Jonathan Joel Pestinger, Alexander Wilson Pestinger, Claire Elizabeth Anderson, Sarah Faye Anderson, Emily Joan Anderson and Joel William Anderson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salina, the Rev. Ed Foster officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, New Cambria.

Memorials may be made to the church or Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS).

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The casket will remain closed.
