Mrs. Austin was born February 28, 1917, in Minneapolis. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James a. Austin, in 1997; and a son, James O. Austin in 1999.

Survivors include a son, Richard Austin of Salina; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 122 N. Eighth, Salina. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
