Mrs. Banninger was born Mabel V. Herman on June 17, 1917, in Glendale. She was a farm homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in 1997.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda of Brookville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Public Library or Saline County Animal Shelter.

There will be no visitation or viewing.
