Mrs. Barton was born Aug. 5, 1910, in Beloit, the daughter of Herman and Minnie (Kirgis) Walter. She was a registered nurse.

Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Barton and their only child, Michael Barton, both of Los Angeles, a sister Mrs. Grace Heiman, Beloit, and a brother Leo Walter, Cawker City.

A brother Bill Walter and a sister Mary Louise Walter, both of Beloit, and several nieces and nephews survive her.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Mass will be held September 13 at 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Beloit.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Catholic School Education Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
