Mrs. Chilcott was born Ruth Salkeld on Oct. 29, 1909, in Manhattan. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Iden, in 1994; her parents, Lester and Mary Elizabeth Salkeld; a brother, Robert Salkeld; and a twin sister, Ramona Hirst.

Survivors include three nephews, Robert Kent Hirst of Salina, Roger Salkeld of Missoula, Mont., and Robert Salkeld of Montery Park, Calif.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Lincoln City Cemetery, Lincoln, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
