Mrs. Farmer was born Barbara Barnett on March 28, 1950, in Colby to Elgin and Berneda. She was a bookkeeper for Geoprobe Systems, Salina.

She married Ray on March 29, 1970, in Rexford.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elgin; and a brother, Ronnie.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Eric and wife Julie of Elkridge, Md.; a daughter, Amy Patterson and husband Mitchell of San Antonio; a brother, Donnie and wife Sherrel of Sharon Springs; her mother, Berneda Zoberst and husband Ray, of Rexford; and two grandchildren, Hadley and Truman Patterson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia Road, Salina, Pastor Doug McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or the Tammy Walker Cancer Center.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
