Mr. Giersch was born Nov. 4, 1961, in Salina. He was a computer programmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Giersch, in 2004.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia J. Giersch, of Salina; two sisters, Debbie Graham and husband Robert of Salina and Janet Nelson and husband Joel of Marquette; three nephews, Jason Graham and wife LaShun and Travis Graham, all of Salina, and Josh Nelson of McPherson; a niece, Janelle Nelson of Salina; two great-nieces, Kiley and Bri Graham, both of Salina; a great-nephew, Kayson Graham of Salina; and three uncles, Ken Johnson and wife Jerri of Salina, Fred Danenberg and wife Catherine of Manhattan and Jim Maybrier and wife Lavern of Wichita.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, Father Kerry Ninemire officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Saline County Dialysis or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
