Mr. Goodwin was born May 22, 1924, in Pontiac, Mich. He was a retired truck driver for Rock Island Motor Freight.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1432, Salina.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Ronald W. Goodwin and wife Bonnie of Salina; a daughter, Kay Ellen Olson and husband Larry of Salina; a sister, Pat Hileman of Chicago; four grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and 21 stepgreat-grandchildren.

There will be no services. A private inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to VFW Post 1432, Salina.

There will be no visitation.
