Mrs. Herald was born Leona Herl on Jan. 23, 1917, in Victoria. She was retired from Asbury Hospital, where she worked in central supply.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Kuhn, in 1945; and her second husband, Charles J. Herald, in 1999.

Survivors include a brother, Robert Herl of Victoria; and a sister, Genevieve Schuckman of Salina.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil and rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church or Salina Presbyterian Manor.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
