Mrs. Hinkle was born Frances Morrison on July 11, 1911, in Salina. She was a farm wife and homemaker. She married Birchard R. Hinkle on June 9, 1934, in Salina. He died in 1996. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and Lucky 13 Club.

Survivors include a son, Jere Hinkle and wife Nancy of Grass Lake, Mich.; two daughters, Jene Persinger and husband Jim of Hagetna, Guam, and Judy Dutt and husband Richard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Marjorie Walle of Salina; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
