Ms. Houston was born Wanda G. Clark on July 2, 1938. She was a production employee for REMA Bakeware, Salina. She also worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Topeka, and AMVETS, El Dorado.

She was preceded in death by her companion, Loren Johnson; and two sons, Samuel and Randy.

Survivors include two sons, Russell of Carmel, N.Y., and Rick of Salina; a daughter, Glenda Dwyer of Wichita; a sister, Donna Mundy of Salina; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service and inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family.

There will be no visitation.
