Mrs. Lowman was born Ruth Louise Miller on July 31, 1913, in Gypsum. She was a custodian for Gypsum School System, later Southeast of Saline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in 1993; a daughter, Lucille Lee Cole, in 1996; and a son, James Glenn, in 2007.

Survivors include a daughter, Lila Neber of Gypsum; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Lowman of Kipp; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Gypsum. A private inurnment will be in Gypsum Valley Cemetery, south of Gypsum.

Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be no visitation.
