Mr. Loy was born Jan. 17, 1918, in Packwood, Iowa. He was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, in 1989.

Survivors include three sons, Mike of Salina, David of Yukon, Okla., and Richard of Black Forest, Colo.; two brothers, Ernest of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Robert of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
