Mrs. Ring was born Ola Mildred Pickering on Feb. 6, 1922, in Salina to Arthur and Gertrude E. Vaupel Pickering. She worked for the Salina Phone Co. as an operator and toll service representative. She farmed from 1951 to 1960, worked at St. John’s Hospital in housekeeping and operated a private cleaning business.She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Salina.

She is preceded in death by a grandchild, Michelle Ranee Ring; and a great-grandchild, Marcus William Ring.

Survivors include three sons, Stephen and wife Carol of Grand Island, Neb., and twins Larry and wife Roberta of Aurora and Garry and wife Pam of Salina; a daughter, Janice Goracke and husband George of Solomon; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, New Cambria.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be Friday at the mortuary, where friends may call until 8 p.m.
