Mrs. Schneider was born Ruth M. Leach on Sept. 9, 1911, in Hunter. She was a retired custodian for Kansas Vocational Rehabilitation Center, Salina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvin H., in 2000; two daughters, Donna Sue Jorns in 1985; and Sonja Lou Phillips in 1986; and a grandson.

Survivors include a son, Larry of Paola; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Greenwood Union Cemetery, Hunter.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or Trinity Lutheran Church of Salina.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
