Mrs. Serrault was born Helen Karna Buehrle on July 25, 1914, in Salina to Gus and Esther. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of University United Methodist Church in Salina and sewing and bridge clubs. She was an avid reader and card player.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; two sons, Robert and James; and a daughter, Dorothy Peterson.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Serrault of Salina; a son-in-law, Stan Peterson of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Nelson of Salina; a sister-in-law, Lee Buehrle of McPherson; seven grandchildren, Greg Serrault and Krista Weathered and husband Greg, all of Kansas City, Karna Hanks and husband Gary and Kellie Wilson and husband Rusty, all of Salina, Tami Sutton and husband Steve of Shawnee Mission, Michael Peterson and wife Paula of Chicago and Melissa Peterson of Peoria; a nephew, John Buehrle and wife DeeAnn of McPherson; a niece, Karen Sue Parsons and husband Daryl of Burden; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating.

Memorials may be made to the church or Saline County Animal Shelter.

There will be no visitation.
