Mrs. Snyder was born G. Joan Anderson on Nov. 28, 1931, in Lyons to Harold L. and Gladys B. She was a homemaker and retired secretary for Altman Construction.

She attended several classes at Marymount College.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the League of Women Voters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R., in 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas of Salina and Steven and wife Terri of Plano, Texas; a brother, James and wife Barbara of Aurora, Colo.; a grandson, Derek of Ljubljana, Slovenia; two granddaughters, Rachel Barnett and husband Lawrence of Omaha, Neb., and Stephanie of Plano; a great-grandson, Joshua Barnett of Omaha; and two nieces, Jamie and Marsha.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 6 at First Presbyterian Church, 308 S. Eighth, Salina.
