Mrs. Swaney was born Sharon M. Pring on Sept. 11, 1948, in Long Beach, Calif. She was a dietitian.

Survivors include her husband, James, of Salina; and two daughters, Ann Moses of Liberal and Barbara Gaston of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Interment will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
