Mr. Bower was born June 29, 1953, in Souix City, Iowa. He was an environmental services worker for Salina Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Patti, of Falun; two sons, Michael Hicks of Falun and Randy Hicks of Salina; a sister, Dora O’Vivion of Paramount, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Salina Heights Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
