Survivors include daughters, Diane Johnson and husband Brad of Simi Valley, CA, Debbie Rivers and husband Steve of Salina, KS, and Jenny Ellis and partner Doug of Hightstown, NJ; son, Richard Ellis and wife Evelyn of Wildomar, CA; five grandchildren, Andrew Hill and wife Karla, Hannah and Jenna Rivers, Kelsey Quetsch and Eli Ellis; brothers, Don and John Fox; and sisters, Betty Mellor and Suzie Wisdom.

A celebration of Irene’s life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, followed by a reception at Emmanuel Christian Center, 1325 E. Cloud. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 9, from 7-9 p.m. at the Rivers’ home, 670 Highland Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina, 730 Holly lane, Salina.
