Mr. Jones was given numerous awards while he was employed by various radio stations: KBTL, El Dorado; KEYN, Wichita; KKRK, Coffeyville; KWYK, Farmington, N.M.; WCBJ, West Liberty, Ky.; and KSAL, Salina. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Jones was a member of the Salina Lions Club, the Kansas Broadcasters Association and the 9th Texas Civil war re-enactment unit.

He is survived by his daughter, Gabrielle, of Salina; mother, Sandra Finnegan, of Salina; two sisters, Jennifer Finnegan, of Crockett, Texas, and Jamie Martin, of Linden, N.C.; one brother, Kerry Jones, of Bentonville, Ark.; one uncle, Carl Bogle, of Wichita; nieces, Rebacca Lamb, and Vanessa and Ashley Finnegan; nephews, Trenton Finnegan and Lawrence Martin; and many friends and acquaintances.

The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Dec. 14, at their home, 401 Morrison Ave., Salina 67401.
