Nina Elizebeth Livingston, 84, Salina, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008. She was born April 5, 1924, in Mahaska, the daughter of Walter and Nina Livingston. She was preceded in death two brothers, Walter Livingston and Bob Webb; and sister, Irene Hannan. Ms. Livingston retired from St. John’s Military Academy in 1983 after 27 years of service. Because of her loyal service to the school, she was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She was very active and enjoyed playing on the Graves Truck Line Women’s Softball Team for 15 years. She also was an active bowler. She was a very kind and loving person. Ms. Livingston retired from St. John’s Military Academy in 1983 after 27 years of service. Because of her loyal service to the school, she was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She is survived by two brothers, Herb Webb and wife Marilyn, of Albequerque, N.M., and Jack Webb, of Marion; sister, Lois Webb, of Salina; sister-in-law, Kay Webb, of Salina; and several nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Donations may be made in her name to St. John’s Military School or American Cancer Society and may be left in care of or mailed to the mortuary. |
