She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, The Mariners, DAR, Beta Sigma Phi, and was a volunteer for Welcome Wagon. She was a homemaker and worked as director of the YWCA for 12 years.

On Aug. 17, 1947, she married Robert R. McAdams in Abilene. Robert preceded her in death on July 1, 1996.

Survivors include four sons, Rodney, of Tybee Island, Ga., Douglas, of Topeka, Michael, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Gregory, of Olathe; one brother, Robert Russell, of DeSoto; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, 67401.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
