She was born Sept. 10, 1938 in Beverly, the daughter of Joe and Geneva (Kunkle) Srna. She graduated from Salina High in 1956. She married Keith E. Olson on Apr. 16, 1983. She worked for 33 years as a supply clerk at Salina Regional Health Center.

In addition to her husband, Keith, Janice is survived by three daughters, Brenda Halsey, Roberta Fears and Kim Kratzer and husband Darin; step-daughter, Tammy White; step-son, Brian Olson; two brothers, Jim Srna and wife JoAnn and Richard Srna and wife Shirley; sister, Genevieve Pede and husband Jim; five grandchildren, Paul Fears, Chris Fears, David Johnson, Brandi Davis, and Amber Meyers and four step-grandchildren, Drew and Dawson Kratzer and Jessica White and Mike White.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the church.
