Donald Eugene Piper, 70, Salina, died Thursday, August 28, 2008. Mr. Piper was born Jan. 27, 1938 in Salina. He was a lifetime resident of the area and owner of Piper’s Auto body, retiring in 2002. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and had served in the US Army Reserves. Survivors include his wife, Emelia, of the home; four daughters, Robin Piper and Deborah Rogers and husband Jim, all of Shawnee, Dawn Piper of Mission and Sonya Turner and husband Will of Keyport, WA; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, with Rev. Troy Bowers officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service today at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church. |
