Robert E. “Bob” Tiemann
June 1, 1936 - January 31, 2008

Robert E. “Bob” Tiemann, 71, of Salina, died January 31, 2008. He was born June 1, 1936, near Lincoln, Kansas, to Alvin and Lydia Suelter Tiemann. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army. He attended vo-tech schools in Beloit and Salina, KS. He worked as a licensed electrician for Walker Products, Lincoln, Smoky Hill Rural Electric, Ellsworth, owned and operated Tiemann Plumbing & Electric, Lincoln, and was an electrician for Salina Regional Health Center for fifteen years, retiring in 2005. He also farmed in Lincoln County most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanine of Salina; a daughter Wendy Picking and husband Bill; their children Lydia and Daniel of Lawrence, KS; a son, Dale Tiemann and wife Deneen; their children Matthew and Malorie of Dublin, TX; a daughter, Gail Tiemann and husband Blair Strawderman of Lawrence, KS; a sister, Marlene Seabourne and husband Frank of Fair Oaks, CA; a brother, Delbert Tiemann and wife June of Bradenton, FL; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Salina. Officiating will be the Rev. Leroy Pralle and lay minister H. Dennis Hill. Internment will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lincoln, KS, with the Rev. Gerald Radke officiating.

The family requests memorials to Christ the King Lutheran Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Lincoln, Hospice of Salina, Tammy Walker Cancer Center or Salina Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
