Betty Ade
September 28, 1928 - May 20, 2009

Betty Ade, 80, of Salina, formerly of Carlton, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009. She was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Abilene, the daughter of Ray and May Graves.

She was a farm homemaker and worked as a registered nurse for more than 25 years. She was also administrator for several nursing homes in the Salina area.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Louis B. Ade, in 2005; and two brothers, Howard and Herb Graves.

Survivors include three sons, Larry and wife Susan, of Derby, Steve and wife LeAnn, of Salina, and Rodney and wife Jeanette, of Carlton; two brothers, Bill Graves, of Tennessee, and Harold Graves, of California; two sisters, Helen Rose and Linda Emig, both of Abilene; seven grandchildren, Michael, Leah, Carl, Justin, Chris, Michelle and Louis Paul; and three great-grandchildren, Brynna, Timothy and Zoe.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401, where family will greet visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 25, at Temple Church, near Gypsum, and burial in Temple Church Cemetery. A memorial has been established at the church.
