GYPSUM — Linda M. Base, 61, of Gypsum, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. Mrs. Base was born Linda M. Sutton on March 22, 1947, in Lindsborg. She was a farm homemaker and a CNA. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart D. Base. Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa Robinson and husband Joe, of Gypsum, and Sandi Slaughter and husband Dean, of Kansas; a sister, Shirley Moore, of New Mexico; and two grandchildren, Jasmine and Michael Slaughter, of Kansas. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at First Baptist Church, Gypsum, with the Rev. Dave Walters officiating. Interment will follow in Gypsum Valley Cemetery, Gypsum. Memorial gifts may be made to the Saline County Health Department-Home Care or the church, in care of the mortuary. |
