Martha L. Pahls, 84, of Salina, died Monday, March 23, 2009. She was born the daughter of Lester and Leona (Wilson) Hill, April 2, 1924, in Osborne. She was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She worked as an insurance clerk for 35 years, for St. John’s Hospital. She married Casper J. Pahls on June 4, 1947, in Osborne. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Jimmy Hill.Survivors include four children, Elizabeth A. O’Byrne and husband Doug, of Wichita, Casper P. Pahls, of Salina, Dr. Mary Lynn Weiss, of Odessa, Mo., and Christopher J. Pahls, of the home; caregiver, Mitch Miller, of the home; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Memorial gifts are to Hospice of Salina. |
