She was a homemaker and a loving mother and also provided day care in her home. She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral and Sunflower and Midwestern Polka clubs.

On June 6, 1949, she married Johnny Augustine at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hays. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters, Rita Mae Freitag, Marlene Burgardt, LaVerna Pfannenstiel and Dorothy Hammerschmidt.

Survivors include two sons, Steven and wife Betty, of Hesston, and Danny Joe and wife Dana, of Overland Park; four daughters, Janet Craft, of Goodland, and Karen Allison and husband Darrell, Carolyn McCready and Marilyn Augustine, all of Salina; 18 grandchildren, Ami, Ali, Angie, Darren, April, Lisa, Michael, Kathryn, Joseph, Sarah, William, Janelle, Erin, Kyle, Matthew, John, Derek and Wesley; and 10 great-grandchildren, Mia, Rakeen, Haley, Alyssia, Casey, Aliyah, Arianna, Johnathan, Darren and Tishanti.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, where the family will greet visitors from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 tonight at Sacred Heart Cathedral, with vigil service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions are to the cathedral, American Heart Association or Hospice Care of Kansas.
